Day 5: Mandalay

The next day, I reached Mandalay around 8am. I stationed myself at my Aunt’s house for the day. Maha Myat Muni is crowded as usual. Shan noodles and Mandalay noodles are as attractive as usual for the breakfast.

I decided to cycle around the old palace walls and the curiosity brought me inside the old palace. Although I have been to Mandalay several times, I had never entered the old palace before. It was quiet inside the rebuilt Glass Palace and the buildings surrounding it. I met a few local families, youngsters and foreigners in the cultural museum in which the carriages, some utensils, some original and some re-made clothes were displayed. It was nothing more than a place where all these things are put in the show cases without having temperature or moisture controls.

The inside of the palace did not attract me but the palace walls, the gate and the moats were interesting as they were original. We can see the effort that the previous generations had put in while building them. The walls and the gates were in good condition, the watch towers were maintained except some of them on the west and north palace walls. The moat was reconstructed and maintained well.

I spent the day just around the palace walls and some pagodas around, then took a bus by "Mya Mandalar Tun" company from Mandalay to Yangon. It leaves Mandalay at 7pm and reached Yangon the next morning 6:30am. There are 7 buses under that company leaving for Yangon at the same time. It was a well-organized bus ride with stoppages for toilet break and breakfast break. The service was satisfactory.

မႏ ၱေလးမွာေတာ႔ အေဒၚအိမ္မွာ တရက္တာ စတည္းခ်ၿပီး စက္ဘီးေလးနဲ႔ နန္းေတာ္ၿမဳိ ႔ရိုးကို ပတ္ပါတယ္။ မႏ ၱေလးမွာ စက္ဘီးစီးဘူး ခ်င္တဲ႔ ဆႏၵလည္း အခုတစ္ေခါက္မွဘဲ ၿပည္႔ေတာ႔တယ္။ စက္ဘီးနဲ႔ ဆိုေတာ႔ သြားရတာ လြယ္ကူတာမို႔ နန္းတြင္းထဲကိုပါ ၀င္ၿဖစ္ သြားတယ္။ ၿပန္ေဆာက္ထားတဲ႔ မွန္နန္းေတာ္ႀကီးနဲ႔ ေဘးပါတ္၀န္းက်င္က အေဆာင္ေတြမွာ ထိုင္း Tour Group တစ္ခု ေတြ႔တာမွ အပ တိတ္ဆိတ္ၿငိမ္သက္လို႔၊ ၿပတိုက္ထဲမွာေတာ႔ မိသားစု တစ္စု၊ လူငယ္ေလး တစ္ခ်ဳိ ႔ နဲ႔ နုိင္ငံၿခားသား နည္းနည္း ေတြ႔တယ္။ မိသားစု ကေလးက အေဖ၊အေမ ရယ္ သားတစ္ေယာက္ သမီးတစ္ေယာက္ရယ္။ အေဖက သားနဲ႔ သမီးကုိ ေရွးက ဘုရင္ေတြ မွဴးမတ္ေတြ စကား ေၿပာပံုကို အသံေန အသံထားနဲ႔ ေၿပာၿပေနတာ သေဘာက်မိတယ္။



နန္းၿမိဳ ႔ရုိးနဲ႔ က်ဳံးကေတာ႔ ခန္႔ၿငားထည္၀ါဆဲပါ။ ဘုရင္ေခတ္က လူအင္အား ေငြအင္အားနဲ႔ တည္ေဆာက္ခဲ႔တာကို သိသာထင္ရွား လွပါတယ္။ အေရွ ႔ မုဒ္နားက နန္းၿမဳိ ႔ရိုးေပၚကိုတက္ၿပီး ေမ်ွာ္ႀကည္႔လိုက္ရင္ ေၿမာက္ဘက္မွာ မႏ ၱေလးေတာင္ ေတာင္ဘက္မွာေတာ႔ မႏ ၱ ၳေလး ဆီဒိုးနား ဟိုတယ္ကို ၿမင္ရတယ္။ နန္းေတာ္ၿမိဳ ႔ရိုးႀကီး ဖမ္းစားတာနဲ႔ ၿပတိုက္ထဲမွာ ေရာင္းတဲ႔ စာအုပ္ေတြထဲက ရတနာဂီရိ နိဒါန္း (ေမာင္သန္းေဆြ - ထား၀ယ္) ဆိုတဲ႔ စာအုပ္ ၀ယ္ဖတ္ၿဖစ္သြားတယ္။ အဲဒီစာအုပ္က သီေပါမင္းနဲ႔ မိသားစု မႏ ၱေလး နန္းေတာ္ကေန ပါေတာ္မူ ၿပီးတဲ႔ေနာက္ ရတနာဂီရိကုိ ေရာက္သြားပံု၊ ရတနာဂီရိမွာ ေနထုိင္ပံု၊ ရံဖန္ရံခါ ပြဲေတာ္မ်ား က်င္းပပံု၊ အိမ္ေတာ္တက္ပြဲ နဲ႔ သမီးေတာ္မ်ား နားထြင္းပြဲ ေတြက်င္းပဖို႔ စီစဥ္ႀကပံုေတြ အပါအ၀င္ သီေပါမင္း နတ္ရြာလား သည္အထိ ေရးထားတာပါ။ အဂၤလိပ္အစိုးရ ကေပးတဲ႔ ေထာက္ပ႔ံေႀကးဟာ မနည္းလွေသာ္လည္း ဘုရင္မိသားစု အတြက္ ဘယ္လိုမွသံုးမေလာက္လို႔ ပါသြားသမ်ွ လက္၀တ္ရတနာ ေတြ ေရာင္းခ်စားေသာက္ရတာ၊ ေရာင္းစားစရာ မက်န္ေတာ႔တဲ႔ အခါ နန္းကမခြာခင္ သိမ္းသြားတဲ႔ ရတနာေတြ ၿပန္ေတာင္းေပမယ္႔ ၿပန္မရ ေတာ႔တာ၊ သမီးေတာ္မ်ားကို ထိမ္းၿမားေပးဖို႔ သင္႔ေတာ္တဲ႔ အိမ္ေထာက္ဖက္ ရွာလို႔မရတာ၊ အဂၤလိပ္မ်ား ေစလႊတ္တဲ႔ ၿမိဳ ႔နယ္ဆရာ၀န္ ခရိုင္ဆရာ၀န္ ေတြကို ယုံႀကည္ကုိးစားစိတ္ မရွိလို႔ နတ္ရြာလားတဲ႔ အထိ ေဒါက္တာရမ္းကုနဲ႔ ကုတာေတြဟာ နန္းက်ဘုရင္ရယ္လို႔ မဟုတ္ဘဲ အိမ္ေထာင္ ဦးစီး တစ္ေယာက္အေနနဲ႔ သီေပါမင္းကို စာနာသနားစိတ္ ၿဖစ္မိပါတယ္။ သီေပါမင္းဟာ နတ္ရြာလားတဲ႔ အထိ အေႀကြးတင္ သြားရ ရွာပါတယ္။





က်ဳံးေတာင္ဖက္ တစ္ေနရာမွာေတာ႔ ခ်က္(စ္)ထိုးတဲ႔ ကြင္းတစ္ခုေတြ႔တယ္။ ဓါတ္ပံုရုိက္ဖို႔ အဆင္မေၿပလုိက္တဲ႔ တစ္ေခါက္မွာ သူတို႔ေတြ ခ်က္(စ္) ထိုးေနေတာ႔ အရုပ္ႀကီးေတြက ဒူးေက်ာ္ေက်ာ္ေလာက္ ၿမင္႔တာ ေတြ႔လိုက္ရတယ္။ က်ံဳးေဘးပါတ္လည္မွာ ေၿခလက္ လွုပ္ရွား အားကစား လုပ္စရာ ကရိယာေလးေတြရယ္၊ ညေနဖက္မွာ လူေတြ လမ္းေလ်ွာက္ေနတာ၊ ကေလးေတြ ေၿပးလႊားကစား ေနတာ ေတြ႔လုိ ႔ သေဘာက်ခဲ႔ပါတယ္။



အဲဒီေနာက္ေတာ႔ ညေန (ရ)နာရီထြက္တဲ႔ ၿမတ္မႏ ၱလာထြန္း ကားနဲ႔ ရန္ကုန္ၿပန္လာခဲ႔ေတာ႔တယ္။ ကားခုနစ္စီး တန္းစီၿပီးထြက္တဲ႔ အဲဒီ ညေမာင္းတဲ႔ အေ၀းေၿပးကား ေတြ စီးရတာ ေတာ္ေတာ္ အခ်ိန္ကုန္သက္သာၿပီး၊ လမ္းခရီးမွာ လူလည္း အေတာ္အသင္႔ သက္သာ ပါတယ္။ ေနာက္ေန႔မနက္ ၆နာရီခြဲေလာက္ ရန္ကုန္ၿပန္အေရာက္မွာ ၂၀၁၀ရဲ ႔ ၿမစ္ႀကီးနားခရီး ၿပီးဆံုးသြားပါၿပီ။



ေနာက္နွစ္ေတြမွာ မေရာက္ဘူးေသးတဲ႔ ေနရာေတြ ထပ္သြားခ်င္ေသးတဲ႔ စိတ္က အခုကတည္းက လူကို ေနာက္နွစ္ ဘယ္သြားရမလဲလို႔ ႀကိဳတင္ ေတြးေနေစပါတယ္။ အင္းဒါနဲ႔ပဲ ေန႔စဥ္ ၿမန္ၿမန္သြား ၿမန္ၿမန္စား အလုပ္ေတြ က်ဳံးလုပ္ၿပီး ခရီးစားရိတ္ စုရေသးတာေပါ႔ေလ။
